95% of finance professionals are looking to electronic document management to support their green agenda
A survey carried out by document management software company, V1, has revealed that 95 per cent of finance professionals are interested in document management software due to its environmental benefits. V1 carried out the research with 120 senior finance professionals across a range of UK public and private sector organisations.

Friends Life achieves 30 per cent efficiency savings in accounts payable team using V1's invoice processing software
Friends Life, which provides pensions, investments and life insurance for over five million customers, has reported 30 per cent efficiency savings in its accounts payable team as a result of implementing document management software for processing supplier invoices. It is also costing the company up to five times less to process an invoice. The software from V1 (formerly Version One), which seamlessly integrates with Friends Life's e5 finance system from Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced), went live in April 2012.
